Connecting with nature through art

Paper and pencils in hands, we walked together through the often overlooked bog ecosystem. These wetlands are important for purifying drinking water and carbon sequestration. Plus, they’re home to a diverse variety of plants and animals.

At each stop, participants would pause to learn cool facts about local plant life, and sketch what they saw. From carnivorous sundews to Sphagnum moss and lodgepole pine trees, we spent the afternoon gaining a deeper appreciation for the fascinating and awe-inspiring world of wetland biodiversity!
