Sierra Club BC stands with Stand.earth, condemns outrageous bully tactics by Enbridge
VICTORIA—Sierra Club BC is horrified and disgusted by the outrageous bullying tactics employed by Enbridge today, and condemns the company in the strongest possible terms.
“Enbridge today proved itself to be a bully determined to intimidate and silence its opponents,” said Tim Pearson, Sierra Club BC communications director. “Sierra Club BC stands with Stand.earth.
“Here in B.C., Enbridge has shown itself to be tone deaf to local concerns and contemptuous of legitimate opposition to its goals.
“Employing such extreme tactics in Canada reveals just how desperate big oil and the fossil fuel industry are getting, as the economy’s transition away from fossil fuels accelerates with each passing day.”
