Roberta Kowalishin

Roberta Kowalishin is collaborative executive, who greatly values dialogue and listening for common objectives when negotiating to complex issues. As a technology leader and futurist, she has a wealth of experience with change and innovation has worked across many industries in strategic technology roles such as CTO/CIO at DIALOG Design (a Canadian architecture, engineering, construction firm), CIO of NY-based Hearst News and Director in the forensics and records management practice of PwC (New York). She also has experience in fast growth startups including a venture-backed satellite network firm, CapRock Communications (Houston, TX) and corporate IT at JPMorgan on Wall Street. She is currently consulting with a diverse group of clients as Principal of IT Innovation Services. She is deeply concerned about protecting our fragile planet, the vast and beautiful resources in British Columbia, driving a circular economy. Her current consulting work in the AEC (architecture, engineering, construction) industry is deeply informed by sustainability challenges – in embodied and operations of carbon in our built environment. Her technology background brings unique perspective to digitizing (eliminating paper) while considering leading edge design to reduce data center and computing impact on the environment.

Roberta holds an MBA from MIT, a BCom in Economics from McGill, and Harvard’s graduate certificate in Cybersecurity as well as the CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) credential. She has been cited as a next-generation CIO by the Wall Street Journal and has been quoted in Business Week, Wall Street and Technology, and Information Week. She is currently privileged to be affiliated with a planetary collective project based on Jonas and Jonathan Salk’s work around “A New Reality”.
