Following a 15 year career in marketing and business strategy, Roanne now pursues her passion for the planet in a professional capacity. Former Vice President, Marketing for Coast Capital Savings, Roanne currently champions social responsibility and sustainability initiatives for the credit union. With deep concerns about the impact of climate change and industrial farming practices on our food security, Roanne is an active proponent of sustainable agriculture. She leads the marketing for Island Organic Producers Association (IOPA) to promote certification and strengthen the organic farming community on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. Roanne also serves as an IOPA representative for the Certified Organic Associations of BC and on the board of Cowichan Green Community. Roanne was raised on Vancouver Island and ever inspired by nature, ocean life and its thriving arts community. After 12 years of exploring the Lower Mainland, Roanne recently moved home with her husband and two children to several acres in the Cowichan Valley which they hope to farm ecologically and power through renewables.
