Just think of those good feelings you get all summer long from spending countless hours riding to the beach, camping in the woods, or simply sitting in your yard watching the sun go down.
Autumn doesn’t have to mean putting away the bike or folding up the lawn chair. Why not spend #OctoberOudoors?
#OctoberOutdoors is a fun way to get you, your family, and your friends outside every day for the month of October while raising funds to help Sierra Club BC defend nature and confront climate change.
Signing up is easy – here are some simple instructions to guide you through the process in case you have questions.
From October 1 to 31, join other British Columbians by committing to spend time outside every day. Sign up online, make a promise to connect with nature for your chosen amount of time every day and ask your network to support your commitment by pledging donations. Then share your experience with friends using the hashtag #OctoberOutdoors. Think of it like Jump Rope for Heart, but for the environment!
Extend those happy summer feelings by committing to riding your bike to work, playing outside with your kids for an hour, walking your dog for 30 minutes, or simply sitting in your yard and watching the sun go down. Keep it simple and fun and you’ll be eager to get outside each day.
