Jaimie is a third generation Canadian, grateful for her Vancouver Island roots and the diverse communities that enrich life here. She is a mover, grower and educator who finds the best connection with her hands in the soil, and when making camp under the stars.
Jaimie graduated from Vancouver Island University with Bachelors degrees in Sport, Health and Physical Education and Education. Growing food, promoting physical literacy, and teaching in the Northernmost communities of the island were formative experiences that contribute to her worldview; she endeavors to be mindful of the interconnectedness of all things, to celebrate diversity, have fun, and bring people together (often around food).
Jaimie is “stoked” to join Sierra Club BC’s Education team as a Facilitator of Learning where she can share outdoor learning experiences with young people, focused on our collective responsibility and connection to our planet and its future generations.
