EVENT: Indigenous Legal Challenges Solidarity Rally
Monday, 16 December 2019
12:30-13:30
Location: Outside the law courts at the corner of Georgia and Howe Streets in Vancouver – Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh territories
From December 16 to 18, the Coldwater, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations will be in court defending their lands and waters from the Trans Mountain pipeline and tankers, and this is a beautiful moment to support them.
We will rally together during the lunch break after their opening statements and show our community supports their efforts.
Rueben George of Tsleil-Waututh Nation Sacred Trust will MC and Jewel James from Lummi Nation will be speaking. Further details to be announced shortly.
This event is intended to demonstrate commitment to supporting these nations and to continue to fundraise for their cases.
If you can’t make it, but are interested in continuing to organize in support of these cases, please rally your networks online to support them here: https://pull-together.ca
This event is being held on the unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh nations.
