Rhododendron groenlandicum

RECIPROCAL RELATIONSHIPS
When they grow, they produce small white flowers in an umbrella-like shape. These flowers then develop into hairy pods with seeds in them. As the name suggests, these plants can be used fresh or dried to make tea, although too much of this tea causes stomach problems. This plant is poisonous to livestock because of the toxins in the leaves.
For Musqueam First Nation, when there were flowers on the plant, it would be used medicinally, but when there were no flowers then it would be made into tea.
