Legacy Giving

Why I joined the Red Cedar Circle

A warm thank you to Marion Cumming for her commitment to Sierra Club BC!

By making a legacy gift to Sierra Club BC, you’ll join our Red Cedar Circle of honoured legacy supporters. Legacy giving means leaving Sierra Club BC a gift in your will or estate plan that will help us to protect the environment in honour of your memory. Legacy gifts include bequests and gifts of securities. Read our fact sheet to find out more.

Leaving a legacy gift can be simple and easy. Your estate plans could include:

  • Making a gift in your will, which would be a charitable tax credit on your final tax return.
  • Donating assets, such as shares of securities, bonds, or mutual funds.
  • Naming Sierra Club BC as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or an RRSP. (The payments you make may be tax-deductible. Contact us for details.)
