Chantal Barchard

Chantal Barchard brings a wealth of experience in the non-profit and sustainable for-profit worlds.  As a 20+ year CPA and CA, she specializes in organizational processes that manage cash flow and meet stakeholder needs. She works with the board and staff of Sierra Club BC to ensure the financial sustainability of our organization.

Growing up in the Maritimes, she earned her Business Administration degree from the University of New Brunswick, followed by articling with multinational accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Her career has included working in professional services firms providing auditing, internal audit and risk consulting services in Canada, the US and Europe. She has also served in Director of Finance and Controllership roles promoting strong governance practices and efficient internal controls that ensure the integrity of reporting to stakeholders.

Chantal relocated to Victoria with her partner (originally from British Columbia) and in her spare time, she is off on her bike or with her trekking poles to explore the wild spaces of our province.
